Don’t worry, be healthy! Kick back and have yourself a sip of cinnamon tea. It not only tastes good, but it makes you feel good. It has antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-parasitic and antiseptic properties. A great homeopathic to take each day during the cold/flu season is oscillococcinum (try saying this 10 times!). Take a capful each morning as a preventative measure and if coming down with any symptoms, take a whole vial.

Some key things to strengthen the immune system in preventing as well as treating cold/flu:

Vitamins A, C, E and selenium & Zinc
B-vitamins – orally and also B-vitamin shots
Probiotics
Herbs e.g. Echinacea, Astragalus, Ligusticum, Schizandra, Elderberry, etc.

Finally, if one has just caught the cold/flu, there are a number of treatments you can choose from in the office e.g. Myer’s cocktail or Biopuncture that work great in nipping it in the bud. One could even get these treatments as a preventative measure on a monthly/weekly basis.
